Wahroonga Waterways Landcare is predominantly based in the E2 Environmental Conservation Zone of Wahroonga Estate, located between Pennant Hills Road and The Comenarra Parkway.
The bushland covers more than 30ha and forms part of the habitat corridor running into the Lane Cove National Park. It features a variety of ecosystems types including Blue Gum High Forest, Sydney Turpentine Ironbark Forest, Sydney Peppermint Red Bloodwood Open Forest and Riparian Coachwood Rainforest. Also present on site are Powerful Owls, Satin Bowerbirds and Sugar Gliders, over 20 species of native orchid, and a weird and wonderful array of fungi that spring up every autumn.
The group also occasionally runs school education tours at Crosslands, Galston.
